This course combines the use of Celtic knot patterns, spirals and drawings of plants to create interconnected Celtic designs.
Learn to draw your own Celtic Tree of Life design with step-by-step guidance using simple drawing techniques. To create other plant patterns you will be shown how to ‘grow’ leaves and flowers from Celtic knots. Start looking now at how plants grow, draw some simple leaf shapes and bring them to class.
Prior Knowledge
To do this course you will need to know how to draw Celtic Knots using a diamond dot grid method, as taught in my previous classes.

Materials list for students:
- 2B mechanical/pacer pencil
- Ruler, 30cm or longer
- Eraser
- Compass
- Empty jar, for rinse water
- Rag, soft & absorbent like t-shirt fabric
- Colour media, what you have or prefer to use: colour pencils; pigment markers; Paints – water colours or watercolour gouache, acrylics.
