CELTIC ART – MINI MANDALAS

This course will take you step-by-step through the techniques of drawing Celtic patterns within a circle. We will create mini mandalas with basic designs of Celtic knots, spirals and key patterns using proven formula that are easy to follow.
I will demonstrate painting techniques and discuss different ways of applying colour to complete your designs.
Materials list for students:
  • 2B mechanical/pacer pencil
  • Ruler, 30cm or longer
  • Eraser
  • Compass
  • Empty jar, for rinse water
  • Rag, soft & absorbent like t-shirt fabric
  • Colour media, what you have or prefer to use: colour pencils; pigment markers; Paints – water colours or watercolour gouache, acrylics.
